About
Okay, it’s nothing like Austen. Not even a little bit.
Many people have a dream of writing and publishing a novel. I’m “one of those”. I have an idea for a novel and about 15,000 of words as a start. Quite frankly, most of it is garbage and needs to be rewritten. I’m here to document the growing pains of my work as an unpublished writer, and you are free to poke fun at me (don’t worry, I’ll delete your comments if they get out of line). That sums up the general purpose of this blog! I’ll share with you my frustrations and joys, and hopefully you’ll get a laugh out of it. What do I get out of it? Mostly, I’m hoping for a warm and fuzzy feeling of support, and a manuscript ready for an agent.
Now, a few things that need to be clarified: I have no time to write.
- I’m in love, hopelessly and completely with a Superman. We live together, and are raising Alice in Wonderland, his teenage daughter. Both, Superman and Alice in Wonderland, get a well-deserved chunk of my time.
- I was born to be a teacher, and that’s what I do full time. Your kid would love me! (I make ‘em giggle)
- I read. Not a lot, but enough to take up precious time that I should be spending on writing if I am to reach my goal of finishing a novel.
- I watch TV. Friends, CSI, Will and Grace, you get the idea.
- I spend too much time on Facebook. Too much. Yep. Even as I’m writing this entry, I’m checking how my Pet Society pet is doing. Quite pathetic, I tell ya!
